Dutch CIO’s engaged into WorldLoop e-waste program

On February 22nd, 2011 the 3rd CharITy dinner occurred in the Castle of Ammersoyen in the Netherlands.

Prof. Dr. Jan Pronk – former Minister for Development in the Netherlands, former Deputy Secretary general United Nations, former special UN-envoy for Sudan but also member of Close the Gap Advisory Board – was present and gave an inspiring keynote on the implication and responsibilisation of European countries in the field of ICT4D.

During this evening WorldLoop was launched in The Netherlands and its current program for e-waste in East Africa was presented. The reaction from CIO Dutch community has been directly very enthusiastic: more than 2,000 e-waste certificates have been collected on that day!
