Urban mining and e-waste
WorldLoop participated in a panel discussion on urban mining and e-waste, presenting their model to students from Vrije University Brussels.
On May 8th, UCOS hosted a debate at Vrije University on “Which solutions for the global e-waste problem.” The panel was comprised of Steven Art, from Umicore, Raf Custers, researcher at GRESEA, focusing on Mining and development Africa Research and Barbara Toorens from WorldLoop. The focus of the debate was to dive into the challenges and value that is available in e-waste and how a model, such as WorldLoop’s, can have a positive societal and environmental impact.
